Paul Sanderson was great - explaining to us exactly what would be involved, arranging the assessment at our convenience, working well with my son and discussing the results with us afterwards…
I was nervous when mum said she thought I was dyslexic because I didn't understand it and when I met Paul he explained everything, so it was okay. I don't mind being dyslexic now.
The school has implemented all of Paul's' suggestions. Due to this, our son is progressing educationally and socially every day which has raised his confidence in himself and he's so much happier.

As parents you are acutely aware that your child may have specific learning difficulties. Often the state system struggles to identify and appropriately deal with these difficulties and the parent is left exasperated with no clear roadmap for dealing with their child’s future. We were in this situation and so we arranged for a private Psychological Assessment to be completed by Paul Sanderson.
The strength of the assessment was that for the first time we had clear conclusive evidence based on a wide range of testing mechanisms that could be used as a tool for making the system sit up and pay attention. Paul was also able to talk to us as parents and explain the outcomes of the report and give us valuable advice.
The assessment was a trigger kick-
I cannot thank Paul Sanderson enough for his help. The school has read and implemented all of Paul's' suggestions in the report. Due to this, our son is progressing educationally and socially every day which has raised his confidence in himself and he's so much happier.
Paul saw our son on his own but I was listening from the next room. Our son was completely at ease doing all the tests and answering his questions. Paul would give reassuring comments all the way through. Our report wasn't all facts and numbers. Paul had really got to know our son and knew his personality and his suggestions were both educational and social. I cannot thank him enough for starting a ball rolling that needed to be rolled.
Our son had a tentative diagnosis of dyspraxia and was struggling badly in mainstream

Being dyslexic myself, I knew my son was dyslexic. I approached his school numerous times and they appeared reluctant to help. During his 11+ exam preparations, his inconsistencies with test papers confirmed my concerns. I contacted Paul Sanderson who was extremely helpful in offering advice and support. I was keen to get my son tested as soon as possible so Paul actually gave up a day of his holiday to come to my home to test him. Paul was great at putting him at ease by explaining the whole process to him. Later my concerns were justified, my son was confirmed as being dyslexic. Without a doubt, the test is the best money I have ever spent on my son’s education.

Paul Sanderson is totally professional and provided an excellent assessment with clear explanations and advice on appropriate solutions. His report has been invaluable in gaining 25% extra time in examinations at A level and degree level, as well as in obtaining the Disabled Student’s Allowance.

I hope your work continues to go from strength to strength. I have recommended you to a number of friends of mine and we intend to come back to you for an updated report on both our children in the next year.
I contacted Paul Sanderson after being unhappy with the school's analysis of my daughter's
intellectual capabilities. Having spoken to Paul, I found him to be very clear in
what he could offer and what an assessment would entail. He came to our home and
was professional, yet friendly. My daughter can be very shy and withdrawn around
people she doesn't know, which I had explained to Paul. He very quickly put her
at her ease. She enjoyed doing the assessment so much that she wanted to do another!
He was aware of her needs, her mental attitude (like her getting tired after concentrating
for a long time). At all times he was pleasant and courteous, whilst retaining the
utmost respect for my daughter and myself. At the end of the assessment he was able
to give me a verbal summary. This was shortly followed by a report which offered
Without equivocation I would use Paul Sanderson again if needed, and have no hesitation in recommending him to others.
My son was falling behind with his school work and showing recognisable signs of dyslexia and it was suggested that I contact Paul Sanderson for help, so that my son could qualify for extra time in exams and further learning support. Paul was efficient, quick to respond and very clear about the costs and the service he provided. He came to our home and assessed my son quietly and in a calm and unchallenging way. He disclosed to us both all we needed to know and wrote a very thorough and clear report. This has been most helpful for my son to comprehend his condition and enabled him to proceed to his next school with the support and understanding he needs. I can recommend Paul Sanderson highly.
Since my son has been at an Independent Special School he has been a changed child. So much happier, more confident and now believes in himself. He is no longer ashamed of being dyslexic. Without Paul's assessment and input we would not been able to get him into such a specialist school. More importantly he would not have been given the opportunity to find his true self. Paul was able to show my son the areas he was good at which helped to boost his confidence as well as give us ideas on how to improve those areas that he was struggling with.
Paul Sanderson came highly recommended by a friend and I am very happy to recommend
him to others in my position. His assessment service was extremely thorough, very
well explained, calm and positive. The written findings as a report were incredibly
helpful for myself and confirmed my thoughts on dyslexia being the underlying learning
difficulty for my son. I feel this will empower him to learn without fear of judgement.
